We will re-new, re-pair, re-use, re-cycle adapted toys, cars, and equipment for other children in need. No family is required to return items, but through this program we may provide another child the gift of independent play and mobility. All equipment and toys are given away free of charge. We can only accept items that are gently used, have all parts and are in good working condition. We can not accept equipment that is missing parts or not working. We are no longer able to accept beds due to space constraints.
Insurance does not always cover adaptive equipment. Equipment requires a PT, OT referral to give kids the equipment that fits them correctly. All equipment is GIVEN to the children at no charge. If they choose, they may re-donate it so we can give it away to another child. This program allows children to trial equipment, use equipment to maintain mobility while awaiting insurance approval, maintain mobility while equipment is being repaired, or utilize the equipment when insurance has been denied.
Therapists please fill out the request form. Once it is filled out, the therapist will receive a confirmation email. We will contact the family to set up a time for them to pick up the equipment at which time they will fill out a waiver of liability. The families must be able to bring a big enough car/truck to load the equipment and be able to load it by themselves.
